MSUM WOMEN DEBUT WITH 62-56 VICTORY OVER METRO STATE IN SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL

Minnesota State Moorhead officially launched the 2008-09 women's basketball campaign with a 62-56 victory over Metro State in a Saturday night special at Denver, CO. Alison Nash-Gerlach led three Dragons in double figures iwth 14 points, followed by Krista Opheim, 10, and Chris Falzon, 10. MSUM has a Monday night date with Regis University in Denver before returning to Moorhead for a November 22 home opener with Michigan Tech.
