Dragons Compete at Northfield Relays

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons swimming team finished among the top teams in most relays they competed in at the Northfield Relays on Saturday.
Out of the seven relays that were raced the Dragons had three first place finishes and two second place finishes.
The first place finishes included a 3:25.61 time in the 300-yard breaststroke, a 3:01.48 top finish in the 300-yard butterfly and a 4:21.03 finish in the 400-yard individual medley.
The team finished behind hosts, Carlelton College, in the 300-yard backstroke, in second place with a time of 3:02.28. The other second place finish came in the 900-yard freestyle where St. Olaf (Minn.) edged the Dragons by over one second, as SOC finished in 8:40.27 and MSUM finished in 8:41.06.
MSUM will get back in the pool on Nov. 6-7 as they will face St. Benedicts College in St. Joseph, Minn. Friday's dual will begin at 6 and continue Sat. at 1 p.m.
