Ouren Finishes Second at Husky Classic, Dragons Finish Fourth

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Junior Chelsey Ouren led the Minnesota State University Dragons to a fourth place finish at the Husky Classic on Monday as she finished second overall, two shots shy of the leader.
Ouren, after being tied for second after day one, improved her strokes on the second day to take second place overall with a score of 159. The University of Manitoba's Mindy Lichtman took home the title, after being tied with Ouren on day one with a score of 82, she improved her score by seven strokes to win the tournament.
Amanda Northwick finished 15th overall for the Dragons, shooting a consistent 94 in both rounds. Brittany Burke and Brittany Boeve rounded out the Dragons in the top-20, tied for 17th and 19th place, respectively. Burke shot 195 while Boeve shot a 196.
The Dragons will next compete at the NSIC Fall Championships on Oct. 10-11. The tournament will be held at Hillcrest Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn.
