In a private celebration on the 50 yard line in the football stadium on the Minnesota State University Moorhead campus Larry Scott celebrated his last official day as a Dragon with a ribeye steak on the 50 yard line.

After thanking Scott for his dedication and loyalty to the Dragons, MSUM Athletic Director Doug Peters announced that there would not be a 2009 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.  Instead, the Dragons will recognize and celebrate  the last 40 years of Dragon Athletics and highlights of Larry Scott's Career.

The event will be held September 26, 2009.  The schedule of events includes a 9 hole golf tourney, tailgate party, football game, volleyball game, celebration dinner and dance with live music.  

"MS has given more to me, than I have given in return over my time," Larry Scott told a group of close friends on his last day as the Sports Information Director at Minnesota Sate University Moorhead.
