MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Dragon Fire announced Thursday that former women's basketball standout Lindsay Hartmann and current Head Volleyball Coach Tammy Blake-Kath will be the speakers at the first Dragon Divas Luncheon of 2009, on Oct. 5. The event will begin at noon in MSUM's Comstock Memorial Union room 100.
As former captain and starter for the Dragon women’s basketball team, Hartmann led the Dragons to their first conference title in 2004-05. She ranked in the top 25 in the nation for 3 pt. %, and was a 4-time Academic All-Conference selection. A 2005 mass communications graduate, Hartmann is currently the Global Marketing Manager for St. Jude Medical, where she is responsible for marketing the most widely implanted heart valve in history. She manages the product line, which grosses over $200 million, and manages the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. in her spare time, Hartmann volunteers with Special Olympics, Minnesota Foodshare, and is an e-mentor for ESL students at Eden Prairie High School.
The meetings guest coach, Blake-Kath, is entering her 15th season as head coach at MSU Moorhead. She became the first and lone MSUM coach to reach the 250 win plateau last fall. This year Blake-Kath and
her staff have the volleyball team off to a terrific start with a 7-2 record.
