ST. JOHNS, Minn. – A few unattached wrestlers from Minnesota State University Moorhead took part in the 2010 North Country Open at St. Johns University. The even took place on Saturday night and a few Dragons who participated got much needed wins and experience.
Sophomore
Kerron Williams wrestled at 157 pounds and bounced back from an early loss and gained a pin of Kyle Wichman (York) at the 4:37 mark of the match in the third place bracket. Williams would be joined by freshman
Jacob Bennett at 165 pounds after Bennett gained a 4-1 decision over Kevin Pardon (UWSP).
Williams and Bennett each got wins since they last competed at the Dragon Open back on Dec. 5 at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.
