Nash-Gerlach Named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The College Sports Information Directors of America association announced Thursday that Alison Nash-Gerlach, a senior women's basketball player at Minnesota State University Moorhead has been named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.

Nash-Gerlach, a native of Roseville, Minn., was named to the third team in the college division of District 5. She is one of five NSIC women's basketball players who earned Academic All-American status.

A Gerontology major, Nash-Gerlach has a 3.41 GPA. She leads the Dragons in scoring, averging 15.3 points a game and grabs 8.7 rebounds per game. This past weekend, she sunk her 1,000th career point, becoming only the 17th Dragons women's basketball player to accomplish the feat.
