MARSHALL, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons suffered a 64-55 loss on Friday night to the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs.

Despite taking the first meeting between the team's this year, the Dragons could not overcome the home team's momentum as they took a commanding lead late in the second half to take the win.

The team's traded the lead in the first half as they went into half time with SMSU leading 29-28. Each team held the lead three times in the first half and were tied twice.

The Mustangs went on a 9-1 run with 17 minutes left in the game to take control of the lead for good. The Dragons came to within three, two more times but could not eclipse the lead.

Jake Driscoll led all scorers with 25 points in the game. Chad Thomson scored 14 points going 5-for-8 from the field.

MSUM moves to 7-14 overall and 4-10 in the league. SMSU goes to .500 in league play (7-7) and 12-8 overall.

The Dragons will face the Mavericks of MSU Mankato on Saturday at 8 p.m. to complete the team's four game road stand. To watch the game, track stats or listen to the game choose one of the following options:
