Forde and Swart Honored as NCAA DII All-Academic Wrestlers

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The NCAA DII Wrestling Coaches Association announced the 2009-10 All-Academic Wrestling team on Tuesday, which included two athletes from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Individuals that are selected for this award mush have a 3.0 GPA or higher and have completed one year at their current school.
Evan Forde (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) and Jon Swart (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) were both honored as members of the second team and honorable mention team, respectively.
Forde ended his junior season with an 18-10 overall record and has a 31-31 career record as a Dragon. He is majoring in Exercise Science.
Swart is majoring in Economics has a 6-21 career record. The two-sport athlete was also selected as an Academic All-Conference member in football for the Dragons this past fall.
