MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons cross country teams hosted their alumni on Saturday, Aug. 28 in the second annual Alumni Meet.

The men's race was won by Kelly Mortenson ('94) who ran the 5K race in 16:03 just six seconds better than recent graduate Adam Kne. Clayton Foster (Pequot Lakes, Minn.), Erik Hanson (Moorhead, Minn.) and David Teige rounded off the top five. Foster finished in a time of 16:13, Hanson finished in 16:28 with Teige coming in at 16:40.

Senior Anna VanWechel topped out the women's two mile race with a time of 12:15. Newcomers Kaylee LItch and Kelly Brammer followed the veteran in time so 13:40 and 13:43. The 1094 graduate, Jane Sederquist finished fourth in a time of 13:58.

Athletics Director Doug Peters finished 22nd in the 5K with a time of 26:19. His challenge was not met by Head Coach Keith Barnier who did not run in the race.

The Dragons will continue on the course on Sept. 11 at the St. John's Invitational in Collegeville, Minn. The races are set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
