MOORHEAD, Minn. – The 2010 season for the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon women’s soccer team it’s a chance to get off to another hot start in a tough Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

The Dragons started and finished the 2009 season strong, suffering only one loss in their first six games to start the season and finished winning three of five contests.

The Dragons return NSIC C0-Newcomer of the Year Jordyn Wallenborn and Tricia Vanyo who finished in the top two in points for the Dragons in 2007-08 before missing last season with a medical redshirt. Wallenborn led the Dragons last season with 13 goals and 29 total points.

Among the newcomers to the Dragons will be Amanda Wurdeman who broke the career goal record at St. Michael-Albertville High School with 83 career goals. The Dragons will also feature three freshman goalkeepers behind senior netminder Alison Wanner.

Former NSIC Coach of the Year Rollie Bulock returns to the helm of the Dragons squad and brings on two new assistant coaches. Ashley Reitz, who finished her playing career in 2009, will join Dan Dougherty as Bulock’s assistant coaches for 2010.
