Angie Jetvig, receiving her second MSUM Featured Athlete of the Week honors, was also named the Northern Sun women's basketball student-athlete of the week. Jetvig earned the honors by recording back-to-back double-double performances at Concordia-St. Paul and at St. Cloud State this past weekend. On Friday night the Hawley, Minn. native tied a career high for rebounds with 16 while scoring as many points in a win.
Her statistics against the Golden Bears would seem minor compared to the numbers she produced the next night against the Huskies. Jetvig scored a career high, and also NSIC season high, 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Saturday in another Dragons win. Averaging a double-double, 17.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, Jetvig's accomplishment in St. Cloud, Minn. was her seventh double-double of the season.

Corey Ulmer, also receiving his second MSUM Featured Athlete of the Week honor, continued his success as the No. 2 ranked 125-weight class wrestler in the country by earning two wins in dual matches this past week. In Minneapolis on Tuesday, Jan. 17, Ulmer faced off with Mike Fuenffinger of Augsburg College. Ulmer used a quick takedown on Fuenffinger to gain a 2-0 lead followed by an escape. Fuenffinger notched a takedown of his own to grab a 3-2 lead, but Ulmer responded also with an escape. Almost a minute later Ulmer took his opponent down again to grab the lead that would stick throughout the match. The final score of the first match would stand at 10-6.
Saturday, Jan. 21, Ulmer faced off against the No. 1 ranked St. Cloud State's Dylan Wright. Ulmer had a takedown in the first period, a reversal and escape in the second period, and a takedown in the third period which resulted in a 7-4 decision over Wright. Ulmer's individual record improved to 15-2 on the season.
Jetvig and her fellow Dragons can next be seen in action on Jan. 28 at 2 p.m in Crookston, Minn. against the Golden Eagles.
The Dragons return home to face off against the Marauders of the University of Mary. Matches will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. in Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.
