MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis coach
Oliver Summers has announced that Jessamy Jones of East Grand Forks, Minn., has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic career at MSUM.
"I'm so happy to have a player of Jessamy's caliber sign to play for the Dragons," Summers said. "She has had multiple offers from many different Division I, II and III teams including just about every team from the NSIC. The fact that she's chosen MSUM speaks volumes about our new tennis program and the direction in which we're heading. To have a player that only lost once, to the Minnesota state champion in her final high school season, is fantastic."
Jones is a standout from East Grand Forks High School, where she compiled a 171-32 career record. She was a four-time state entrant, including placing third as a junior and fourth as a sophomore.
She was a six-year tennis letterwinner and four-time Fall Athlete of the Year. She also lettered in track and basketball during her career.
