Burnsville, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has announced its All-Academic Teams for the 2012 spring athletic season. Twenty-two Dragon student-athletes from softball, tennis, golf, and men's and women's track and field earned all-academic honors when the honorees were announced Thursday.
To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Of the 22 student-athletes honored, two were from softball, two from tennis, two from golf, five from men's track and field, and 11 from women's track and field.

Amanda Moore were named from the softball team. Senior

Kaitlin McNary earned the honor from the tennis squad. Junior
Amanda Northwick and sophomore
Jennifer Kurtz were both named to the team from golf.
Seniors Aaron Lund and Cory Shufelt, junior Derek Bredy, and sophomores Jackson Henrich and Dan Sederquist comprised the men's track and field qualifiers for the Spring All-Academic team.
Totaling the most student-athletes on the list was the women's track and field team. Seniors Amy Hellickson, Danielle Thompson and Anna VanWechel were named in their final season of competition. Juniors Ashley Berg, Nicole Hall, Jessica Keesling, Kendra Mooberry and Heather Schultz also earned the honored. Sophomores Kelly Brammer, Kaylee Litch and Kara Nygaard rounded out the final qualifiers for the academic honors.
