Todd Peters has been re-appointed to the NCAA men's and women's swimming and diving rules committee, it has been announced.
Peters, who started the MSUM swimming and diving program in 1997, will be entering his 17th year in that position in 2013-14.
His term on the committee was extended until Sept. 1, 2017. The rules committee is made up of eight NCAA coaches -- four from Division I, two from Division II and two from Division III, along with a secretary rules editor. Peters spent five years on the championship committee before two committees were formed separately -- a championship and a rules committee. Peters served as rules committee chair when it was formed.
In addition, Peters was also voted to remain the rules committee's chairperson for another year during the annual meeting which concluded Wednesday in Indianapolis, Ind.
