had a good showing in the high jump, tying for seventh at 5-4 1/2. Klemetson finished ahead of athletes from Division I schools such as Utah Valley, Colorado, North Dakota and San Francisco State. Klemetson is ranked first in that event in the NSIC this season.

Tia Knight was 10th in 100-meter hurdles with a solid time of 14.57. Senior
Mallory Stier was 22nd in the hammer throw at 158-5.
Competing at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., Montonye ran an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 1,500 meters. Montonye ran a time of 4:32.91 against a stacked field of runners in the 1,500 at the Mt. SAC Relays, placing 57th out of 143 competitors. Montonye's time was second-fastest in the NSIC this season.
MSUM's 4x400 relay team was solid at Mt SAC as well, taking 12th with a time of 3:15.58. That consisted of junior

Matt Loehr. Their time is fastest in the NSIC this season by nearly five seconds, and a second away from an NCAA provisional qualifying time.
NSU OpenThe MSUM track and field teams claimed six wins at the Northern State Open, which was held on a windy Friday in Aberdeen, S.D.

Jason Dowell was a double winner for the MSUM men. He won the 1,500-meter run at 4:14.64, edging Chalmer Combellick of Minnesota Morris by .10 seconds. Dowell added a win in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:25.09, with sophomore
Tyler Hennen second at 9:33.63.
Sophomore
Andrew Werk won the shot put with a toss of 46-4 1/4 and was second in the hammer at 158-1. Sophomore
Marshal Pederson won the high jump at 6-2.
Sophomore
Jamison Gehrig was second in the 800-meter run at 2:07.02. Freshman
Adam Hanson was second in the 400-meter hurdles at 59.52.
For the MSUM women, senior
Kara Nygaard won the javelin at 148-2. Sophomore
Emily Mammenga won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:02.25.
MSUM will have several athletes compete at the Beach Invitational on Saturday in Long Beach, Calif.
