Meet ResultsMANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams claimed four wins at the Minnesota State Open on Saturday in Mankato, Minn. The Dragons had three NCAA provisional qualifying performances on the day.
No team scores were kept.
The Dragon men finished with three wins on the day. Senior
Ryan Olson won the 400-meter dash in 49.64, which is an NCAA provisional qualifying time. He added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 22.57.
Redshirt freshman
Brian Huber won the long jump with a personal-best effort of 23-8 3/4 and was second in the high jump at 6-6 3/4. Junior
Marshal Pederson was fifth in 6-4 3/4.
Senior
Keith Turner was first in the 600-meter dash in 1:22.96.
Senior
Jonathan Demus was second in the 200-meter dash in 22.51 and seventh in the 60-meter dash in 6.98.
Senior
Matt Loehr was second in the 400 in 50.23. Senior
Beau Scheving was second in the shot put at 50-1 3/4 while junior
Andrew Werk was sixth at 47-0 1/2. Junior
Andrew Werk was fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 54-6, while
Beau Scheving was eighth in 47-2.
Sophomore
Devin Strack was seventh in the triple jump at 42-2 while Cole was eighth at 41-11 1/2.
For the Dragon women, senior
Chelsea Klemetson was first in the high jump with a season-best height of 5-5 1/4, which is an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Senior
Tia Knight was second in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.80, which is an NCAA provisional qualifying time.
Freshman
Bailey Reiner was fourth in the long jump in 17-0 1/2. Freshman
Caroline Jansen was fifth in the pentathlon with 2,902 points. Freshman
Judith Robinson was seventh in the 60-meter dash at 8.06 and ninth in the 200 meter dash in 26.69. Sophomore
Iveta Harner was eighth in the 800-meter run at 2:25.55.
MSUM is back in action next week. The Dragons will compete at the Jack Johnson Classic on Saturday in Minneapolis and will also have athletes competing at the Concordia Cobber Duals in Moorhead, Minn.
