Oliver Summers has announced that Olivia Keelin of Fargo, N.D., has signed a national letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at MSUM starting in the fall of 2016.
"Olivia is a player who I've coached for probably the last eight or nine years and I'm so pleased and proud that she's chosen to be a Dragon to continue her career," Summers said. "Olivia has exceled in USTA junior tournaments and in high school tennis and will be one of the top contenders for state in North Dakota this year. Not only is she an outstanding tennis player but the numerous USTA Northern Section sportsmanship awards speak volumes about her character. She's exactly the type of player who is going to continue to take us from strength to strength and I know she'll make an immediate impact."
Keelin is a senior at Fargo Shanley High School, where she has been the team's No. 1 singles and doubles player for six years. She placed fourth in the state a year ago. Keelin is a four-time all-conference selection, a five-time team MVP and a two-time team captain. Overall she has lettered six times in tennis during her career and has played in the top five twice at the EDC tournament.
