Cobber Duals ResultsJack Johnson ClassicMOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's track and field team won the title at the Cobber Duals hosted by Concordia College on Saturday in Moorhead, Minn. The Dragon women finished third.
The Dragons did well at the meet despite having several athletes in Minneapolis, Minn., competing at the Jack Johnson Classic. MSUM had four top 10 finishes on Saturday at that meet.
At the Cobber Duals, the Dragon men finished with 83 points and won five events. Senior
Kenny Andri won the 400-meter dash in 50.75.
Junior
Tyler Hennen won the mile in 4:29.40 while junior Sam Warnes won the 800-meter run in 2:05.22. Freshman
Josh Young captured the 1,000-meter run in 2:35.71.
Senior
Beau Scheving won the shot put at 48-1 3/4.
Freshman
Peter Bateman was third in the weight throw at 43-1 3/4 while
Jordan Feder was third in the high jump at 6-2.
For the Dragon women, who finished with 79.5 points, freshman
Judith Robinson won the 60-meter dash in 7.92.
Freshman
Caroline Jansen was second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.46.
Senior
Savannah Link was third in the 5,000-meter run in 19:34.43 while redshirt freshman
Niina Stensrud was third in the 3,000-meter run in 11:36.94. Freshman
Bailey Reiner was third in the long jump with a jump of 16-4.
MSUM's 4x200 relay was second in 1:47.10. That consisted of

Mady Vaudrin,
Jasmine Nelson and
Katie Holzheimer.
Jack Johnson ClassicThe Dragons recorded three top 10 finishes at the Jack Johnson Classic, which featured athletes from Division I programs.
Senior
Tia Knight was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.81, while senior
Chelsea Klemetson was sixth in the high jump at 5-6, which was a season-best performance.
Sophomore
MaKenzie Smith was eighth in the 3,000-meter run in 10:36.89.
Junior
Molly Montonye was 14th in the mile in 5:05.52 with junior
Emily Mammenga 17th in 5:10.81 with a personal best. A total of 42 runners competed in that event.
For the men, sophomore
Brady Speicher was ninth in the mile in 4:20.19, which was a personal-best. Senior
Jason Dowell was 19th in the mile in 4:26.97 while sophomore
Cody Christ was 24th in 8:53.59.
Junior
Marshal Pederson tied for 11th in the high jump in 6-2 1/4. Junior
Andrew Werk was 17th in the weight throw 52-10.
