Final Results
FARGO, N.D. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams claimed six wins during the final day of the Thundering Herd Classic, which was held at North Dakota State on Saturday in Fargo, N.D. Several Dragons had solid performances at the event.

The MSUM men won four events on the day while the women claimed two wins. No team scores were kept.

MSUM men's 4x400 relay won in impressive fashion, taking the win by nearly four seconds over NDSU's team.  Combining for the winning time of 3:15.81 were senior Keith Turner, junior Kenny Andri, senior Ryan Olson and junior Matt Loehr. That time is the fastest in the NSIC this season and also ranks in the top five nationally.

MSUM went 1-2 in the 5,000-meter run with senior Jason Dowell winning in 15:26.30 with sophomore Brady Speicher taking second in 15:31.06.

Sophomore Brandon Selbig won the 1-mile open with a time of 4:34.04. In the seeded mile, junior Tyler Hennen was fourth in 4:26.64 while sophomore Cody Christ was fifth in 4:29.24.

For the Dragon women, senior Chelsea Klemetson won the seeded high jump with a height of 5-7 1/4, which was an indoor personal best. Klemetson's height is second-best in the NSIC this season.

Emily Mammenga won the seeded 1,000-meter run in 3:02.05, which is the fourth-best time in the NSIC this season.

Sophomore Alissa Mears was second in the seeded 800-meter run in 2:14.81 with junior Molly Montonye fourth in 2:15.17, which was an NCAA provisional qualifying time. Mears already posted a provisional qualifying time earlier this season at the Dakota Duals (2:13.79), which is still the best time in the NSIC.

Freshman Caroline Jansen was second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.25 and fourth in the triple jump at 37-1. Sophomore MaKenzie Smith was third in the mile in 5:11.47.
