Molly Montonye and sophomore
Cody Christ led the way for the Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams at the Vance Butler Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday. The event was the first full-team competition of the outdoor season for the Dragons.
Cody ChristNo team scores were kept at the event, which was held in cool weather at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
Montonye had a strong performance in claiming the win in the women's 1,500-meter run. She captured the victory with a time of 4:45.07, which is second-fastest in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference so far this outdoor season.
Senior
Tia Knight was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.25 and was third in the 100-meter dash in 12.40. Knight's time in the 100-meter hurdles is second-fastest in the NSIC so far.
MSUM's 4x100 relay was second in 49.41. That consisted of senior

Senior
Chelsea Klemetson was third in the high jump in 5-2 1/4. Freshman
Caroline Jansen placed third in the triple jump at 36-5 and was seventh in the long jump at 16-6 3/4.
Redshirt freshman
Niina Stensrud was third in the 5,000-meter run in 18:58.05. Sophomore
MaKenzie Smith was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:23.60 with freshman
Mindy Kraft sixth in 12:10.30.
Robinson was sixth in the 100-meter dash at 12.45 and eighth in the 200-meter dash in 26.04. Sophomore
Katrina Mellegard was sixth in the javelin with a toss of 104-2.
Christ led the way for the Dragon men, winning the 5,000-meter run by more than five seconds with a personal-best time of 14:54.34.

Ryan Olson was second in the 400-meter dash in 49.80 and added a fourth in the 200-meter dash in 21.92.

Spencer Ruebke was third in the 800-meter run in 1:58.90 and third in the 1,500-meter run in 4:05.03. Sophomore
Brady Speicher was fifth in 4:08.74 with senior
Jason Dowell in sixth in 4:09.65. Freshman

Andrew Werk was third in the hammer throw in 176-1, which was a personal-best.

Brian Huber was third in the long jump in 21-1 with senior
Nate Cole sixth at 20-5. Freshman Steve Adjokatcher was seventh in the triple jump at 43-3 with Cole eighth at 41-6.

Marshal Pederson tied for sixth in the high jump at 6-1. Junior
Beau Scheving was sixth in the shot put in 47-1.
MSUM is back in action at the Northern State Invitational in Aberdeen, S.D., on April 10 and 11.
