MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams are back in action this week at the North Dakota State Bison Classic, which will be held Saturday in Fargo, N.D.
The meet is slated to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday with field events including weight throwing, the long jump, pole vault and the high jump.
Running events will begin at 2 p.m. with the women's 60-meter hurdles and the night will conclude with the 4 x 400 relay at 6:35 p.m.
Several of the Dragons' distance runners will make their indoor debuts this week.
Last Time Out: Dragons Win Three Events at Dakota Classic
The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams won three events at the Dakota Classic hosted by North Dakota State in Fargo, N.D. on Sat., Dec. 4.
No team scores were kept at the three-team event. MSUM sent a partial roster of sprinters, throwers and jumpers to the meet but the Dragon distance runners did not compete.
Sophomore
Brian Huber had a good day to pace the Dragon men. He won the long jump in 23-6 1/4, which was an NCAA provisional qualifying jump. Huber was second in the high jump in 6-4.
Senior
Kenny Andri won the 600 meters in 1:23.32 for the second Dragon men's victory of the night.
Freshman
Kevin Norville was third in the triple jump at 45-2 1/4, while senior
Charles Tiedman was fourth in the 400 in 51.91. Junior
Adam Hanson was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.81.
Sophomore
Caroline Jansen won the triple jump to lead the Dragon women. Her winning jump was 37-3. Freshman
Stephanie Koetter tied for second in the high jump at 4-11 3/4 while sophomore
Bailey Reiner was third in the long jump at 17-3 1/2.
