Meet ResultsBEMIDJI, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams claimed six wins at the Bemidji State Twilight meet in Bemidji, Minn. on Friday. The Dragon women had two wins on the day while the men had three victories on the day.
For the women, sophomore
Bailey Reiner won the long jump at 17-11 1/2, which was a season-best and eighth-best in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this season.
Freshman Emily Waletzko won the weight throw at 49-5 and was third in the shot put at 39-9 1/4. Sophomore
Katrina Mellegard was second in 49-3.
Sophomore
Caroline Jansen had three top three finishes on the day. She was second in the long jump (17-6 1/4), second in the triple jump (37-1) and third in the 60-meter hurdles (8.99).
Freshman Ki'Arah Johnson was second in the 60-meter dash in 7.95 while sophomore
Katie Holzheimer was third in 8.16 and sophomore
Mady Vaudrin fourth in 8.39.
Freshman
Kevin Norville led the men with a strong performance in the triple jump. Norville won the event in 47-3 1/2, which is fourth-best in the NSIC this season and an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Freshman
Devin Strack was third in 42-4.
Sophomore
Brian Huber won the 60-meter dash in 7.10 while senior
Jordan Pangerl was first in the 400 in 51.90.
Senior
Andrew Werk was second in the weight throw at 57-0, just missing a season-best in that event. That is an NCAA provisional qualifying throw.
Senior
Charles Tiedman was second in the 200 in 23.14 while junior
Adam Hanson was third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.77. Freshman
Logan Thiel was third in the pole vault at 12-10.
MSUM is back in action at the NSIC Indoor Championships on Feb. 26-27 in Mankato, Minn.
