Brady Speicher claimed two titles to lead the Minnesota State University Moorhead men's track team to a fourth-place finish at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday in Mankato, Minn. Redshirt freshman
Josh Young won the 1,000 meters for his first indoor conference title.
The Dragon men were fourth with 79.20 points. The Dragon women, led by a third-place finish from junior
Alissa Mears, finished in ninth with 27 points. Minnesota State won both the men's and women's divisions.
With his two victories, Speicher finished in a tie for first as the top individual performer on the men's side. He tied with 20 points with Keegan Carda of Augustana and Kyran Stewart and Alex Campbell of Minnesota State.

He won the 800 in 1:54.76, more than a second-and-a-half faster than his prelim time. He picked up the win in the mile with a strong run, winning in 4:17.05.

Brian Huber (long jump) each won conference titles for the MSUM men.
Young also picked up a conference title in the 1,000-meter run. He won the 1,000-meter run in 2:30.56, topping Minnesota State's Brennan Holman by more than two seconds. Young was third in the mile (4:20.15) to earn All-NSIC honors in that event as well.
Senior
Kenny Andri was third in the 400-meter dash to earn All-NSIC honors. He finished with a time of 49.47 — and NCAA provisional qualifying time — and was just .09 seconds out of first.
Cody Christ was fourth in the 5,000-meter run in 15:00.64. MSUM's 4x400 relay was fourth in 3:25.02. that consisted of Andri, senior
Charles Tiedman, senior
Jordan Pangerl and freshman Andrew Schonneson.
Freshman
Kevin Norville was sixth in the triple jump at 46-8 1/4.
Mears led the way for the Dragon women, picking up All-NSIC honors in the 800. She finished in third in that race in 2:17.33.
Senior
Molly Montonye, who has been battling an injury during the indoor season, was fourth in the mile in 4:58.08. Junior
MaKenzie Smith was seventh in the 5,000-meter run in 17:51.91.
Huber (long jump) and Speicher (mile) are expected to qualify for the indoor national meet with other individuals on the bubble with provisional qualifying times. MSUM will learn on Tuesday which individuals will qualify for nationals.
