LONG BEACH, Calif. – Minnesota State University Moorhead sophomore track and field sophomore
Brian Huber recorded an NCAA provisional mark in the long jump during the Beach Invitational Saturday in Long Beach, Calif.
Huber recorded a jump of 24-8 1/4 to place fifth out of 47 competitors in the long jump. That jump is tied for fifth-best in all of Division II and is the best so far in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this season.
Junior
Brady Speicher was 25th in the 800 in 1:52.70, which was a personal-best and fastest NSIC time this season. Sophomore
Josh Young was 30th in the 800 in 1:53.35, second-fastest in NSIC and also a personal-best.
For the Dragon women, sophomore
Caroline Jansen was 59th out of 93 competitors in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.92, which was a personal-best. Junior
Alissa Mears ran a time of 2:18.94 in the 800.
MSUM will compete at the Lyle Hokanson Invitational hosted by North Dakota State on April 23.
