Drake Relays DMR results
Kip Janvrin Open Results
DES MOINES, Iowa — The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's distance medley relay team finished second in the College Division event at the Drake Relays on Friday night in Des Moines, Iowa. Dragon junior
Cody Christ competed at the nearby Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson College and recorded a strong third-place finish.
The runner-up finish from the DMR is believed to be the highest track and field finish ever for the Dragons at the Drake Relays.
The DMR finished with a time of 10:06.38 to earn the runner-up finish. That consisted of sophomore
Josh Young, freshman Brett Lawrence, senior
Tyler Hennen and junior
Brady Speicher. North Central (Ill.) won the race in 10:03.12
Christ had a strong run in the 5,000-meter run at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College. Christ finished third in 14:47.36; the race was won by Division I runner Daniel Soto of Iowa in 14:42.36. Christ's time is the second-fastest in the NSIC this season.
He finished ahead of Division I runners from Iowa, South Dakota State, North Dakota State and Iowa in the race.
Sophomore
Brian Huber will compete in the long jump at the Drake Relays on Saturday. The Dragons will also compete at the Al Cassell Relays in Jamestown, N.D. on Saturday.
