Meet Results
MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams earned 13 wins at the annual Ron Masanz Classic on Saturday at the Ron Masanz Track at Scheels Field at Nemzek Stadium. Led by three wins from sophomore
Caroline Jansen, the Dragon women won eight events, while the men won five.

No team scores were kept.
Jansen, fresh off of a fourth-place finish in the heptathlon at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Multi Events on Monday, had another big day. She also won the long jump in 18-10 1/2, sixth best in the NSIC this season claimed the 100 hurdles in 14.89 with senior
Molly Strong third in 15.69. Jansen, and also won the triple jump in 37-4 1/2.
MSUM's 4x400 relay won in 4:07.24. That consisted of freshman
Marissa Carlson, sophomore Reiner, freshman
Regan Watson and junior
Alissa Mears.
Mears won the 800 in 2:16.56 with Carlson second in 2:18.84. Freshman Ki'Arah Johnson won the 100 in 12.51 with Reiner second in 12.62.
Junior
Katrina Mellegard won the hammer throw at 161-11 while freshman
Katie Olson won the 400 in 59.82.

For the Dragon men, senior
Andrew Werk won the hammer throw in 176-9, which is an NCAA provisional toss and fourth-best in the NSIC this season.
MSUM's 4x100 relay was victorious in 42.07. That consisted of senior
Charles Tiedman, sophomore
Brian Huber, junior
Devin Strack and senior
Jordan Pangerl. That is the second-fastest time in the NSIC this season.
Freshman Tomasz Napiorkowski was first in the discus in 139-6. Junior
Brady Speicher won the 1,500 in 3:49.15 with sophomore
Josh Young second in 3:54.51.

Huber won the long jump in 23-3 1/4, 7.09, was second in the high jump at 6-4 1.93 and was second in the 100 dash in 10.71, which is the fifth-best time in the NSIC this season.
Several women's and men's individuals had solid finishes on the day.
For the women, sophomore
Judith Robinson was second in the 200 in 25.48. Senior
Emily Mammenga third in the 1,500 in 4:47.43, junior
MaKenzie Smith fourth in 4:58.08 and senior
Mindy Kraft fifth in 4:59.91. Freshman
Mackenzie Foltz fourth in the 5,000 in 21:36.22. MSUM's 4x100 relay, consisting of Johnson, Robinson, junior
Katie Holzheimer and Jansen, was second behind North Dakota in 48.31, fourth-fastest in the league this season.
Sophomore Tayler Kaufman was third in the pole vault at 8-4 1/4 while Rachel Sannicandro was fourth in the javelin at 114-9, 10th-best in the NSIC.
Junior
Devin Strack was second in the triple jump at 46-4 1/4, with sophomore Steve Adjokatcher third in 44-4 3/4. Tiedman was second in the 400 in 50.14.
Adam Hanson was second in the 110 hurdles (15.92) and third in the 400 hurdles (59.71). Freshman Jonas Matzen was fourth in the long jump at 21-2 3/4.
Competing unattached, former Dragon Derek Bredy won the 100 (10.62) and 200 (21.34).
MSUM will compete at the NSIC Outdoor Championships on May 13-14 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
