Brian Huber won the long jump and sophomore Ki'Arah Johnson, junior
Judith Robinson and junior
Caroline Jansen picked up wins for the women to lead the Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams at the South Dakota State Division II Invite Friday in Brookings, S.D.
No team scores were kept.
Huber won the long jump at 24-6 1/4, which is the third-best long jump in D2 this season, the best in the NSIC and an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. The effort was a season-best for Huber, whose indoor best is 24-11 set in 2016.
For the women, Johnson won the 60-meter dash in 7.81, seventh-best time in the NSIC this season.
Robinson won the 200-meter dash in 25.39 while Jansen won the long jump at 17-9 3/4 for the Dragon women.
Senior
Katrina Mellegard was second in the weight throw at 59-10 1/4, which is an NCAA provisional qualifying toss and 12th-best in the nation.
Freshman Mary Bianca Fuller was fourth in the weight throw at 51-2 1/4 and fourth in the shot put at 43-10 3/4.
Freshman
Nicole Kurtti tied for second in the high jump at 4-11 3/4 and was fourth in the triple jump at 40-6 3/4. Freshman
Summer Storm was third in the 300-meter hurdles at 47.30
Sophomore
Jonas Matzen tied for second in the high jump at 6-2 3/4 Freshman
Zach Sweep was third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.50 while senior
Devin Strack was fourth in the triple jump at 43-3 1/4.
MSUM is scheduled to compete at the Concordia Cobber Duals on Saturday, Jan. 28.
