NSIC Pentathlon Results
MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead junior
Caroline Jansen finished seventh in the women's pentathlon at the NSIC Multi Events on Sunday in Mankato, Minn. The finish gave MSUM its first two team points of the NSIC Indoor Championships which will resume later this month in Mankato.
Jansen finished with 3,326 points, just 52 points behind sixth-place Erica Young of Concordia-St. Paul. Olivia Montez Brown of Augustana repeated as champion with 3,838 points.
Jansen's best pentathlon finish was second in the long jump, which she posted an effort of 18-5 3/4. She also finished with a time of 8.98 in the 60-meter hurdles, a time of 2:46.60 in the 800, a jump of 4-11 3/4 in the high jump and a shot put throw of 34-6 3/4.
The NSIC Indoor Championships will be Feb. 24-25 in Mankato, Minn.
