MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team has announced its award winners.
The 2016-17 team MVP is junior
Drew Sannes, who was also the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year.
Sannes also earned the Offensive Player of the Year and Windex Award honors. The award winners are listed below.
MSUM has two seniors on the roster, guards
Natalie Van Wyhe and
Jessica Hart.
Van Wyhe was a four-year player at point guard for MSUM. She was named the Defensive Player of the Year as well. Van Wyhe finished fifth all-time in career assists (345) and finished just outside the top 10 in steals. Her 78 career victories at MSUM are second all-time.
Hart was a three-year member of the Dragon squad and a key reserve on the perimeter. She won the Dragon Award in 2017. Both Hart and Van Wyhe were members of the 2016-17 NSIC Championship team and part of back-to-back NSIC North Division championships.
