MOORHEAD, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis coach Oliver Summers has announced the addition of two recruits for the 2017-18 season. Signing with MSUM are Dani Dokken of Elk River, Minn., and Alyssa Wolf of Bismarck, N.D.

Dokken is a two-time all-conference selection at Elk River High School. She finished with a 25-3 as a senior and finished with more than 70 career wins. She was a team captain and placed third in the section in doubles in 2016. She was part of four conference championship teams and the section runner-up team in both 2014 and 2016. She was a four-year letterwinner.

"Dani has been on my radar for a while and her strong doubles game and willingness to continue to improve her game even after her season really stands out," Summers said. "She is tenacious on the court and isn't afraid to compete against anyone. She is the type of player who does well when it counts."

Wolf is completing her freshman season at Division I North Dakota, where she has appeared in two singles matches with a 1-1 record. Prior to that, she competed at Bismarck Century High School, where she was a two-time all-state selection. Wolf was a two-time conference champion and was the state runner-up in singles in 2016.

"Alyssa is a player who I have known for many years," Summers said. "I first tried to recruit her when she was a senior in high school after she finished second in state for North Dakota so I jumped at the chance to get her on my team as a transfer. She has strong ground strokes, is aggressive at the net and has great footwork and work ethic. I see her making a valuable contribution right away."
