BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead senior Drew Sannes has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week in women's basketball, the league announced on Monday. It is the first NSIC weekly honor of the season for Sannes.

The Hawley, Minn., native averaged a double-double to help the Dragon women earn home wins over No. 11 Augustana (75-64) and Wayne State (86-84, OT) last weekend. She averaged 20.5 points and 12 rebounds per game for the week while shooting 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from the field and 83.3 percent (10-of-12) from the foul line.

Sannes had 22 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks in the win over Augustana on Friday and followed with 19 points and nine rebounds in the overtime win over Wayne State.

MSUM is on the road this week, starting Friday at Minnesota Duluth.
