ST. PAUL, Minn. — Senior
Taylor Beynon led the way for the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team at the JoAnn Andregg Invite which concluded Saturday in St. Paul, Minn. MSUM finished fifth at the event which was hosted by the University of St. Thomas.
"We learned quite a bit this weekend and were able to see some different teams compete," MSUM head coach Charlie King said. "It was exciting to watch Taylor, Leti,
Katie Kaminski, Kuhn and Gates lead the way in our growth."
Beynon had a big weekend. She won the 400 IM in 4:39.28, placed third in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.16) and third in the 200 IM (2:12.24).
Junior
Leticia Rodovalho was third in the 200 fly at 2:14.19.
Junior
Breah Anderson had a pair of top five finishes. She was fifth in the 50 free in 24.86 and fifth in the 100 free in 54.68.
MSUM's 200 free relay was fifth in 1:40.74. That consisted of senior
Josephine Hudoba, freshman
Katelin Winter, senior Johnson and Anderson. Freshman
Kate MacGregor, Beynon, Winter and Anderson placed fifth in the 400 medley relay in 4:06.85.
Freshman
Lexie Bray was seventh in the 100 back at 1:01.72. Junior
Megan Gates swam the mile in 19:10.09, more than 24 seconds better than her previous time. Junior
Noelle Berg was eighth in the 3-meter diving with a score of 193.95 and was 10th in 1-meter diving at 324.70.
MSUM is off until Nov. 30 when it hosts the two-day Dragon-Cobber Invite at the Hulbert Aquatic Center in West Fargo, N.D.
