NCAA Rankings
MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team is ranked third in the first Central Region rankings released on Wednesday by the NCAA.
The Dragons are 21-3 and share the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference lead with Augustana with an 18-2 mark. MSUM has won 15 games in a row, tying the second-longest winning streak in school history.
Southwestern Oklahoma State of the Great American Conference is ranked No. 1 with a 22-1 mark, followed by Central Missouri of the MIAA at 20-2. MSUM is third, followed by Augustana (21-2) and fellow NSIC school Northern State (21-4)
Automatic bids are awarded to the winner of the NSIC, MIAA and GAC tournaments. The other five remaining spots are at-large berths.
MSU hosts St. Cloud State on Friday at 6 p.m.
