MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team is ranked seventh in the latest Central Region rankings released by the NCAA on Wednesday.

The Dragons (23-5) were ranked fourth last week.

Central Missouri (22-2) has assumed the top spot in the ranking, followed by Southwestern Oklahoma State (25-3), Augustana (24-3) and Northern State (24-5). Pittsburg State (21-6) is fifth, followed by Central Oklahoma (22-6), MSUM and Arkansas Tech (23-3).

The winners of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, MIAA and GAC tournaments receive automatic bids to the NCAA tournament. By virtue of winning the NSIC tournament on Tuesday, Augustana is the automatic qualifier from the NSIC.
Five at-large berths will round out the field.

The selection show for the NCAA Division II women's basketball field is at 9 p.m. Central time.
