TEAM HONORS AWARDS
THE VINCENT YATCHAK AWARD

. . . is given each year to the Most Valuable Football Player at Moorhead State University. The award is named for Vincent Yatchak, na outstanding football player at Moorhead State during his cillegiate career and twice an all-conference selection. Yatchak was killed by a sniper's bullet shortly before the end of World War II. Interested alumni of Moorhead State asked that this award be given annually to the outstanding Dragon football player. . . . is presented annually to the Dragons' finest defensive back in memory ot Ken Herk, a former defensive back and co-captain for the Dragons in 1968. Herk was killed in a plane crash in December, 1975. The award was initiated in 1976. Previous winners include:
