The most decorated student-athlete at Moorhead, Beeson ended his four-year reign as the top Dragon in 1996 as the top player in the nation as he garnered first-team All-American honors as the NCAA DII Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. He picked up the 1996 national scoring title as he averaged 33.8 points per game, becoming the NSIC and MSUM single season points record holder with 900 points scored in 27 games. Beeson has a career average 18.4 points per game with 1,825 total points in his tenure at MSUM while being named to the All-Conference team and All-American team in both his junior and senior seasons. A true champion on the court, he also exemplified the term student-athlete in the classroom as he was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American.
