Dr. Thomas Edison “Smitty” Smith 1940 Graduate of Moorhead State. Letterman in football, baseball and track. Served as Assistant Football, Head Baseball and Head Golf Coach at his alma mater. Winning several conference titles. Chairman of the Physical Education Department and Athletic Director. Recognized nationally as an authority on health education and held several state and national offices.
