Long distance standout as an undergraduate at MSUM, became first Dragon runner to win an individual national title. Posted winning time of 9:17.3 in the two mile at 1979 NAIA National Indoor, also member of distance medley relay team that placed seventh. Native of St. Paul and graduate of Highland Park High school. Four-year track letterman at MSU Moorhead, also lettered in cross-country.
