Two-sport standout at MSUM…named Ken Herk Memorial Award winner as Dragon football team's top defensive back in 1976…team captain and three-year starter in football…finished with six career interceptions from free safety position…also an excellent punter in football, averaging 38.6 yards as the team's starting punter for three seasons…four-year starter in baseball who was named Co-MVP as a senior when he hit .305…Aitkin, Minn., native…sheriff's deputy who will be inducted posthumously after being killed in the line of duty on Oct. 18, 2015.
