DRAGON WOMEN EXTEND PERFECT START, LAUNCH NSIC PLAY WITH 77-57 VICTORY OVER BEAVERS

Meghan Rettke's 21 points and eight rebounds led the Dragons to first NSIC win of the season.
Minnesota State Moorhead patiently built a eight-point halftime lead and cruised to a 77-57 victory over Bemidji State on Friday night on Opening Day in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Three Dragons reached double figures, incuding Meghan Rettke (21), Katie Walden (17) and Alison Nash-Gerlach (14). The victory stretched the Dragons' win streak to seven straight and protected their unbeaten national ranking. MSUM, 7-0, hosts Minnesota Duluth at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
