MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon women(3-0) continued their long rivalry with Concordia Cobbers(1-1) in a double header. Freshman Marisa Yernatich caught fire from three-point range, setting a school record in the process, to lead the Dragons in an 89-54 victory.
Before the night began four Dragons had held the record for most three-point field goals in a single game that Yernatich broke in stunning fashion. Yernatich was also the team leader in points with 23 on the night.
The Dragons had six players in double figures including senior Meghan Rettke with 16 points to go with 16 rebounds for her second double-double on the season. Betsy Dickson also led the team in steals with five in the game. The Dragons capitalized on turnovers scoring 20 points on 16 Cobber miscues, the Cobbers only managed four points off Dragon turnovers.
