Alison Nash-Gerlach hit both attempts from the charity stripe in the Dragons next possession to cut the Beavers lead to one. She then stole the ball on BSU's possession and fed it Jetvig who chipped in a three to put MSUM up by two.

WIth 1:48 left in regulation, BSU's Jessie Althoff drew a foul to put her at the free-throw line, and to sit the Dragon's season leading scorer, Nash-Gerlach, for the remainder of the contest. Althoff tied the game at 54, which held as the time wound down to force the game into overtime.

Each team scored six points in the first overtime, to go into the second extra session tied at 60.

Jetvig hit a jumper from ten feet out, to put the Dragons up two, just 14 seconds into the second overtime. BSU's Colleen McKay followed with a layup to tie the game before MSUM went up by one on a free-throw by Rettke in the next possession. Rettke's second attempt from the line was rebounded by Charette, who  hit a three 20 seconds later to move the lead to four.

The lead was cut to two after the Beavers tallied two at the free-throw line, and was tied for the final time of the night with 2:09 left to play in OT number two. Rettke tallied a jumper the next time down the floor. After a missed three-point attempt by the Beavers, Opheim hit the big three to move the Dragon lead to five, forcing BSU to foul the Dragons in all the following possessions and lead to the Dragons sixth win of the season.
