MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon wrestling team goes back on the road to take on two NSIC foes. The Dragons will head to Upper Iowa University to wrestle the Peacocks with hopes of stopping their two-match skid at Dorman Gym in Fayette, Iowa at 7 p.m. Following their match with the Peacocks, the Dragons will head north to Mankato to battle the Mavericks of Minnesota State University inside the Taylor Center at 7 p.m.

Upper Iowa currently ranks first in the NSIC with a 2-0 record in conference action and holds an 8-1 record on the season. Leading the Peacocks is Mitch Schultz at 184 pounds. Schultz holds a 19-2 record on the season, 10 of those wins coming by close decision.
The Mavericks currently sit in fifth place in the NSIC with a 5-1 record but have yet to wrestle with in the NSIC. The Mavericks big man Brady Wilson leads the team with an 18-4 record on the season at 285 pounds. Wilson has six wins coming by way of pin, including a 32 second pin of Josh Kolar from Ridgewater College.
The Dragons look to shake off a frustrating weekend with Dickinson State and Northern State.
Evan Forde had a successful road trip, earning a pin over Blake Hunter of Dickinson State at the 2:44 mark and a 15-0 technical fall over Jacob Butrous at the 5:30 mark of the match.
After falling to a major decision at Dickinson State,
Corey Ulmer issued a 12-3 major decision of his own over James Marx of Northern State at 125 pounds.
Tallen Wald also had a comeback victory of his own, beating Ryan Larsen of Northern State at 157 pounds with a 4-3 decision after falling at Dickinson State to Nick Zumwalt in a sudden victory decision 3-1.
The Dragons hold a 1-1 record in the NSIC, currently in fourth place in the NSIC and have a 3-6 overall record. A win over Upper Iowa would give the Dragons a share of first place in the conference with a chance to over take the Peacocks with a sweep.
