MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons men's basketball team was stunted by cold shooting as they suffered their eighth NSIC loss, 63-45, to the Upper Iowa Peacocks.
The Dragons shot a cool 26 percent from the field as the Peacocks shot 49 percent to take the win. UIU moves to 9-10 overall and 6-6 in league play, while MSUM is 6-12 overall and have a 3-8 NSIC mark.
Jake Driscoll led the field with 18 points, hitting all five attempts from the free throw line. Matt Lesan led the Peacocks with 10 points, going 3-for-4 from the field.
The Dragons open up a four-game road trip at Northern State (Aberdeen, S.D.) on Jan. 29. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
