BISMARCK, N.D. - For the second time in the past five days, the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon volleyball team took a three set match from the Mary Marauders (N.D.), the second win coming on the road for the Red and White.
The Dragons won their fifth straight match and go into homecoming weekend with a 10-8 overall and 6-4 in the league.
Each of the three sets on the Marauder's home court were closer than the sets from Friday's match at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse, with the sets scored at 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.
Heidi Lensing led the team with 14 kills and eight digs.
Laura Tvrdik had 10 kills and
Leigh Splittstoesser had 39 assists in the match.
MSU Moorhead will host Augustana (S.D.) on Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 4 Wayne State at 4 p.m. on Saturday as the team welcomes back the 2000 NSIC Championship volleyball team and the Dragon Athletics Hall of Fame inductees. For more information on the
