Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon swimming and diving team opened up the 2010-11 home season with a win against conference opponent Northern State (S.D.), 190-88.
The Dragons were led by Claire Caron who topped current Nemzek Pool record holder, Christine Retzlaff (NSU) in the 100-yard butterfly as she finished first with a time of 1:00.24, just .70 seconds infront of the the record holder. She also won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:17.32.
Freshman
Laura Goll picked up a big win in the 1000-yard freestyle as she out-touched the Wolve's Mik Waiflein by .26 of a second. Her final time in the event was 11:30.24.

On the diving boards, freshman
Shayna Dugger had a lifetime best on the one-meter board as she scored 239.30 points after having a previous high of 218.90. She won the one-meter and also took the top spot in the three-meter, with a score of 228.40.
The Dragons will compete again on Oct. 29 at St. Benedict's College in St. Joseph, Minn. The meet will begin at 6 p.m.
