MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Dragons continued their home stand with a battle against Augustana (S.D.) on the campus of Minnesota State University Moorhead. The Dragons jumped ahead of the Vikings early but could not hold off the Vikings who came back to win by a final of 3-1.

Freshman Carole Braschayko started her second game of the year for the Dragons. The Dragons surprised the Vikings early on after Braschayko stopped two Vikings shots in the first minute and a half.

After Vikings goalkeeper Kate Timmons stopped Amanda Wurdeman's shot, sophomore Jordyn Wallenborn netted her first goal off a feed from Ashley Swanson to put the Dragons ahead early 1-0 at the 3:58 mark of the first half.

The Vikings responded at the 13:10 mark when Maren Werth netted her third goal of the season to tie the game at one a piece. The Vikings tallied once more in the first half and scored the only goal of the second to finish with a 3-1 win over the Dragons.

The Vikings improve to 7-7-2 on the season (6-4-1 NSIC) while the Dragons fall to 1-13-1 on the year (1-9-1 NSIC). The Dragons remain at home as they take on Winona State on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then face Upper Iowa on Sunday at 1 p.m.
