MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Dragons will host Winona State and Upper Iowa in the final weekend of regular season action for the 2010 season.
The Dragons are 58-26 against the Warriors all-time, after suffering a four-set loss to WSU earlier this season. They topped the Warriors in four sets last season in Moorhead. The Peacock's took a four-set match from the Dragons on Oct. 24 to win the first contest in the nine-match history between the two programs. MSUM leads the all-time series 8-1.

LAST WEEK'S RECAP
The Dragon volleyball team went 2-1 this past week, picking up two weekend wins in five-set match wins over Bemidji State and No. 2 Minnesota Duluth. The SMSU Mustangs snuck by the Dragons on Tuesday in a four-set match that was won by very few points.
Heidi Lensing led the team on the week with 59 kills while
Kayla Handevidt had 43 kills.
Leigh Splittstoesser had 157 assists on the week and
Katy Ness had 61 digs.
LENSING NAMED NSIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophomore outside hitter,
Heidi Lensing was selected as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Lensing led the Dragons last week with 59 total kills in 14 sets played, averaging 4.21 per set, hitting .235. She led the team in two five-set wins this past weekend including an upset win over the No.2 ranked Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, and a near upset on Tuesday as the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs barely snuck by MSUM in four sets.
The Belgrade, Minn. native was also second on the team in digs with 42. Lensing had a season-high 22 kills against Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday and matched that number against Bemidji State in the Dragon's win on Friday. It was the match-high on both sides of the stat sheet. She had 15 kills against Duluth. She also had two service aces and six block assists on the week.
WINONA STATE WARRIORS
The Warriors sit just below .500 with an 11-13 overall record, in which they have on onLy one game on the road this season. Outside hitter Kathy Lohff leads the team as she is averaging 3.06 kills per set hitting .303 on the season. She also has 16 service aces and 57 total blocks. Jessi Peterson and Kate Horihan also average over two kills per set with 2.45 and 2.08 per set, respectively. Kayla Uhlenhake has 639 assists on the season, while Shannon McGowan has 503 digs for the Warriors.
UPPER IOWA PEACOCKS
After dropping their final two home matches of the season, the Peacocks will travel to Moorhead and Crookston to finalize the 2010 season. The team is 8-19 this year, with a 0-10 road record. They are lead by Sara Vance who averages 2.93 kills per set. She also leads the team in service aces with 53 on the year and has the second most digs with 275. Skylar Lesan has 864 assists on the season, with 8.39 per set. Defensively, Danielle Gernes leads the Peacocks with 334 digs, 3.24 per set.
