MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to Concordia College 83-78 after a late run spoiled a ten point Dragon lead.

The Dragons led most of the first half after jumping up 10-5 early.  The Cobbers bounced back to lead by four near the nine minute mark, but the Dragons finished the half strong, leading by three at half, 42-39.

The second half started as a battle, with four lead changes in under four minutes.  There were nine total lead changes, including a Dragon run near the halfway mark that tallied a ten-point lead with 6:59 left in the game.

Cobber forward Darrin Olmscheid led the comeback after scoring eight points in the last three minutes of the game, pushing Concordia to an 83-78 victory.

Even though the Dragons out-rebounded Concordia 33-27, the difference of the game was the Cobber shooting in the second half.  They stroked 16 of 26 shots to post 61.5 percent from the floor.

Every starter for MSUM posted double-digit points against the Cobbers with Dennis Williamson leading all  Dragons with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.  Fellow post, Alex Novak, added 17 points and 8 boards and Tarell Clark added 15 points, 6 boards and four assists.

The Dragons now sit at 2-1 on the season and compete next against Gustavus Adolphus at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse at 4 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 28.
